The VSGA has contracted with the Golf Handicap and Information Network (GHIN) as its new handicapping service vendor for 2012. As a result, the computer screens you will encounter when posting scores will have a new look this year.
The 2012 posting Season for the Virginia Handicap Program begins March 1. Association members are reminded to post all scores. The officers reserve the right to post an even par 71 as a substitute for unposted scores.
Seeking New Members
In an effort to increase our membership numbers for 2012, the Association is offering the following incentive discounts on annual dues:
- We are continuing the discount offer on first-year dues for new members. Applicants who were not members in 2011 will be offered a $10 discount on their first-year Association membership fee.
- To encourage current members to recruit new members, we are also offering a $10 rebate on membership renewals for each referral of a new member who joins the Association in 2012. (This offer does not apply to the recruitment of new half-year members or handicap-service-only members.)
- We have introduced a new, discounted membership category for 2012. The annual dues for new or returning Super Seniors (age 65 and over prior to March 1,2012) will be $90.
